Is 2,000 enough to live off of until i find a good job?

my roommate and i are moving to denver and we'll have about 2,000 saved. do you think we'll need more with the way the economy is and denver being on the spendy side?

  2. It depends.  Where do you plan on living?  Is the $2000 going to be split between you and your roommate or do you both have $2000?  Do you have a car?

    I ask all these questions because $2000 will only last for about a month or so once your factor in rent, gas, food, & a few other bills.  Just to be on the safe side, I would hit the pavement and start looking for any type of job as soon as I get to Denver.  That money won't last long if you're living in a new city...especially a somewhat major city like Denver.  Things are more expensive there and that money won't last long, unless you plan on living on the streets for a while.  

    Start applying for all types of jobs right now...it doesn't matter what it is because you need to work.  Take a lesser job if you have to and work there until you find a better one.  You'll have bills to pay.
