This Christmas my niece will be 21 months and i want to buy her a barbie. She has a baby doll that she takes everywhere and a toy stroller. I mean i'm not going to by her like clothes or houses or little things. Just like one barbie.

  1. Many Barbies come with small pieces like earrings, rings, and jointed limbs, so they're marked "Not for children under 3" but I believe they do have a conventional unadorned Barbie called "My First Barbie" so you could get that for her. I doubt Barbie will keep her head but you never know. Good luck.

  2. Children appreciate toys more when they really really want them. If you get her one now she will be bored with it by the time she is 3 or 4. Get her some clothes for her baby dolls so she can start learning to dress and undress them.

  3. As long as there are no small parts for her to choke on and I would definitely supervise her with it in case she decides to poke her eye with Barbie"s pointy toes.

  4. not too young, she'll probably love it, its an adult version of a baby doll just smaller lol

  5. its ok just make sure it doesnt have small parts she can swallow

  6. Having a 21 month old myself, I would never allow her to have a barbie yet. She likes to take her toys and run and jump onto the couch or her bed, and would probably poke an eye out with the feet, or rip off her head and be tramatized, lol. I'd wait until next year if you can.  My daughter will be 2 just before xmas and I plan on getting her a little trolley I saw, it comes with a little mop, broom, bucket, a little working canister vaccuum, etc. for 25 dollars. She's also getting a doll furniture set(mini crib, stroller, high chair, etc) for her cabbage patch newborn. A toddlerized doctor set, clothes, and a big girl bed set for the twin bed she'll get when income tax comes in. I'm also starting a dress up set for her to get for either her birthday or xmas, it will have some dresses, hats, feather boas and chunky toddler necklaces with safety releases on them.

    Good luck!
