Is 21 mpg good on gas for a 04 Acura TL?

im thinking of buying an 04 acura TL

and was looking throught the interent and the specs said it gets about

21 mpg overall. is that not a lot?

That isn't too good. I can almost get that with my 1/2 ton 4x4 truck. I drive a pontiac bonneville and get 28-36 MPG.

my TL gets 31 on highways and city's :]

That's not bad.

My 94 Civic gets 41 MPH on the hwy. But on combined street and hwy use, I only get 26 mpg (and my car only weights just 2300 lbs).

I have an '05 TL.  I get about 23 mpg...which isn't bad.  My G35 coupe use to drink about 15 mpg...hmmm.

The TL is a good car for what it is.  Decent on gas, nice luxury, understated, and a decent drive.

i had a 08 tl as a loaner car while my 06 tsx was being serviced. I put 500+miles on it and averaged 27MPG. I am sure if you can get that and maybe even higher if you are not a race-car driver.
