I live in a medium size town. I make 22.50 per hour and get full medical, dental, vision and a 401k for me and my family. Is this fare or should I ask for a raise? I'm a Hazmat tanker driver for a local trucking Co. Thanks.

  1. It's a medium wage.  You can ask for a raise, but it will probably depend on how long you've been there.

  2. The median wage in the US is about 20 dollars an hour  but their is a lot  of variation  with region. What really matters is how much people in your city are earning for equivalent work.

  3. It's a good wage for today's society.  However, if you feel you deserve a raise based on your work ethics, then yeah ask for a raise.

  4. 22.50 is above average.  Yeah, it's a good wage.

  5. Why not ask for a raise, whats the worse they can say is no? Maybe if you live down south somewhere that is a good wage. If you are talking about living north or in California you might want to get a part time job along with that first job.

  6. h**l yea thats a good wage, what else do you want?

if u make 40 hours a week you're getting $3,600 a month, more than enough to live in a nice neighborhood, buy nice healthy food, own an SUV, i wish i got paid that much, i get 10 an hour hahah but w/e i'm only 20
