My daughter will be 2 on September 8th and I was wondering if you think it is too early to start potty training and if I did how would I start. She doesnt usually tell me when she needs to go or has gone but if she doesnt have a diaper on she knows she is going. She has been showing intrest in her little potty for a few months now and has went in there pee pee a few times and poo probably twice. I was just wonering if it is too early and if I try to start how do I go about it.

  1. If she's showing signs that she's ready and seems interested in it, then sure you can start.  My daughter is currently potty training.  I, personally, don't believe in using pull-ups.  They are a waste of money in my opinion, so go ahead and skip them.  I simply bought her a few packs of big girl panties.  She hates the idea of peeing in her princess panties.  She sits on the potty every 45 minutes to an hour for a couple minutes.  If she goes pee, she gets a sticker on her potty chart.  If she poops, she gets two stickers.  When she gets 20 stickers, she gets a prize.  She hasn't had any accidents in over 5 days.  I did the same thing with my son.  We went straight to underwear once he was ready.

  2. If she is showing interest go for it. Just keep setting her on the potty and let her drag it around and decorate it if she wants.

  3. not at all

  4. No their age dosent matter she sound like shes interested so give it ago.

try Putting them on it when they wake up

or sitting them on it and giving them a drink.

make sure she gets lots of praise for doing it and dosent think it bad or naughty  when she dosent

word of warning good luck trying to find underpants small enough they are near impoosible to find

    Good luck

  5. It is not too early.  I read something in the parenting magazine last week that recommended parents start potty training their kids between 12 and 18 months of age, before they are old enough to resist.  If your daughter shows signs of interest, just keep putting her on her potty seat.  Buy some cool potty books--we have a cool Elmo one where he talks and has a toilet flushing button on it.  Read them to her while she is on her potty.  Girls get it a lot quicker than boys, so merely going through the routine may help her get it and do it quicker.

  6. If she is wanting to use her potty then encourage her. My granddaughter is 26 months and showing interest in using potty and is pretty good at it already, her big problem is when she gets real tired before bed.
