I'm gonna be in the US Army for another couple years, but when I get out, I'm gonna want restart my desire to act, and entertain. i'm thinking when i am out, i will find some training and devote myself to it. I'm a military police officer at the moment, so i can get a law enforcement job pretty much anywhere in the country, so i even have a back up plan. i have the desire, the will, and the talent, but as most people in their right minds would have, just a few doubts, but mostly stemming from age. i'll be 26 when i'm done with the military.

also, for any real experienced people out there, will being at the height of 5'6 (66 inches) make a real difference in my acting career.

Thanks.

  1. Tom Cruise and Michael J. Fox are the same height as you.

There's no reason you can't start now, there are plenty of older roles out there. You could get started by putting on shows for your unit, I'm sure they could use some entertainment.

  2. No, you're never too old to start!

My advice is to find a community theatre to get involved with in whatever city you end up living.

Build up your resume, make some contacts, get some headshots, taken, etc. Then you can think about taking some classes and going on bigger auditions and what not.

    Best of luck to you!

  3. you can do it wish you all the best
