Got a surgery coming up - an elective one, but I'm wondering if I can reschedule.....I think this is a good surgeon so I don't want to frustrate him or get billed. Is 23 days a sufficient amount of time in advance?

  1. yeah that should be fine

  2. That is PLENTY of time.  Most surgeries don't get posted to the OR schedule until a few days before, so it won't mess up the OR at all.  Just call your surgeon's office and request that they find a date that is more convenient for you.  The surgeon will never know.  S/he's got more important things to think about.
