Just my husband and I would be covered. Seems like a lot compared to what we paid at his old job.

  1. with no details my first impression is "are you nuts?"....likely it's a very good price, but you left out a lot details....age, state, health, plan benefits...

  2. I pay $224 monthly for my 17 years old son and myself... the coverage isn't that great and we only have 4 visits a year covered (with co pays) to the doctor.

  3. Yes, but many things need to be considered:

Is there a co-pay per visit? Is there a deductible? Is there a yearly limit? Is there a limited doctor newwork, or can you use your own?

Sadly, USA businesses are going to cheaper and crappier insurance all the time, to the point where hardly any companies have what is considered "good" insurance.

It's a huge issue, and it's why I'm for a national health system.

I am positive you'd pay less than that much in TAXES per month if it was government-run!

  4. the job must hav had inshuer that paed most av the medikal bills.

  5. That's about average for health insurance.  Probably his old job covered half of the payment, or they had the benefit of a group rate.

  6. I pay $45 a week.  And that's half of the premium.  My employer pays the rest.  So mine is $360 a month.  And I'm single and 27.  I'd say that's a good deal but I don't know what your coverage is.  What are you deductibles and copays?

  7. That's not bad at all.

  8. For two people?  It's very good.
