Is 27 too old to have acne?

Question

I have these huge red cyst-like bumps all over my face, neck and chest. I am 27, am I too old to have bad acne like this? Or is this something else I should be worried about?

It's possible to have acne all your adult life. You may ought to see a dermatologist, you could have something else going on. It wouldn't hurt to got to an allergist for a skin test. You could be allergic to some foods.

Many people get acne in their 20's and 30's.  However, if you have never had acne, this is something you should ask your doctor about.

wouldn't you think that 27 would be too old for acne??? unfortunately, it's not...have you seen a derrmatologist?  if not,please do.. they can help.  you don't have to go thru life with acne.  I had acne till i was 47 years old and then finally decided to take accutane.  It worked great for me after trying soooooo many products/medications. There are effective treatments.   Please don't wait!!! good luck

Apple cider vinegar...STINKS...but works fast and well. Have someone kind enough to deal with the smell rub it on with a cotton pad for you...or cotton ball...whatever you like better.

You may have rosacea, but then again it may be something else. Time for a trip to the doc.

Cyst-like bumps doesn't sound like typical acne.  It may be a thyroid-related problem.  I used to have those on my neck, and when I took powdered kelp (from the health foods store) they cleared up.  As for being too old to have acne, I've always said that it's great that I can still break out like a teenager no matter my age!  Do make an appointment to see a dermatologist.  Don't take chances with your skin.
