Is 2XL in juniors the same as 2XL in plus size?

No.

One is juniors sizing, the other womens.  The difference is really in the cuts.  Juniors sizes are cut straighter and narrower than women's sizes.  Women's sizes have more room in the bust, thighs and hips.

Although no two manufacturers size the same, it isn't unusual for a junior size 2XL, to also run 1,2, or even 3 sizes smaller than a garment marked 2X sized in women's plus sizing.

NO!! thats why there are different areas in the store for children and then for adults and then sometimes plus size people. some stores make there sizes smaller and some make them bigger.
