  1. KBB, good for u.  Test drive it, listen to the motor, check that shifting is "clean", take a look at the oil (tells u if he took care of it), look for odd wearing pattern on the tires (alignment issues).

If you know a good mechanic, ask if you can have it checked out.

  2. mileage wise, that's nothing. for that model year, check the cv boots, motor mounts......plus here's a secret you may not know. 96-97 you get a free OBDII goodwill repair from your dealer up to 150k or 12 years, so u better hurry. If it's not done yet. For years, best years to buy a honda is 1996-97 for the free extended warranties.

  3. It really depends on the original upkeep of the car and if they regularly oiled it, etc. I'm only 16, so I wouldn't take everything I say as an immediate answer, but my mom has a 1992 Honda with 193,000 miles and gets over 30 mpg highway. She just does regular oil jobs and it has been running fine ever since we bought it. However, since it is from 1992, it has needed repairs. My mom bought her car for just under $2,000 and she had to pay the same amount back in repairs. So my guess would be, yes. If it has had regular maintenance, then you should be fine.

  4. You need to have it checked. A couple of hundred bucks can save you a ton of money. Imagine next week you need a transmission for $3000. It could happen.

  5. i dont know if this helps but i bought a 1996 honda accord ex with 115 for $2500 and it hasnt giving me any problems

  6. not bad try and lower the price

  7. If you could lower it to around 2,500 dollars it would be better.

  8. the money depend on the condition of the car like is it salvage(if so why?) or clean title and how it looks out like interior and exterior

    also manual or auto

i would haggle with the seller

i think it is a good car considering its only 130k miles

i got my honda civic hatch at 170k miles for 3800 very nice

    and its still running strong
