Is 3 200ml bottles a day enough for a 8 month old?

My 8 month old son has three solid meals a day and three 200ml bottles a day. I was told recently by a friend that he should be having another 200ml bottle. I have just cut out his mid afternoon bottle as he was not eating his solids because he was full. Now he eats his solids and drinks his bottles. He is a great sleeper and we have no other issues other than a little reflux which incidently has stopped since cutting out that bottle. Should I ignore her comments?

this article has some specifics on how much a baby should generally eat at different ages.

  2. 3 bottles is fine as long as he's eating solids through-out the day.

  3. if your son was still hungry he would be letting you know. there are no set rules as to how much to feed your baby. everyone is different.

personally i wouldnt listen to her, you know your son best

  4. He really should be having another bottle, formula has all the nutrients they need at this age so it's more important than solids at the moment. Start giving more solids and less milk after 12 months.
