  1. my daughter has always been tall. so we always have the problem of people assuming she's older and wondering why she's throwing a fit like a 2 year old, well its cause she it. and now at four we even had the problem at the dentist when she was afraid of the big x-ray machine. they got kinda rude with her and i until they finally asked how old she was. we have of course switched. but i think whatever height she is, its normal for her. until the doc says, OMG, then theres nothing to worry about.

  2. d**n thats tall! she would be like the feminine shaquille o'niel of babies.

  3. my nephew when he was one was like 2 something or a little higher.

  4. 3 ft for a one yearold is huge!

  5. It's definitely unusual, but I wouldn't consider it too big.  For instance, I am a 22 yr. old woman who is 5'2" and only 96 pounds, yet I eat everything around and according to my check ups and bloodwork, I have no health problems.  I think some people are just built differently from others and it simply means that your son is a special exception!

    :-)

  6. Wow....

  7. My daughter was 34 1/2 inches at 15 months and is currently over 36 inches, and she's only 20 months old. But her daddy is 6 10 and I'm  5'6 so they estimate she will be 6'2 when she's full grown. It's not too big, she's just tall. She might have problems finding clothes that fit though, as I have to buy 3T shirts and 24 month bottoms for my daughter. They actually slow down in the growing department for a little bit at this age, so they don't get that much taller through the 2nd year. Lol

    Good luck!

  8. that is realllly tall. hope she doesn't grow to be like 7' !

  9. According to my daughter's health record growth charts the height for a 1 year old girl is 63-81 cm by 1.5 it is 73 - 88 cm. you can see a summary of these at http://www.pampers.co.uk/en_GB/parenting...

Have you had her professionaly measured? I always found that my children are taller when I measure them at home compared with the doctors measurements, for example has she got shoes on? Anyway it looks like she is tall but within the normal range for 1-2 year olds so I think there is probably nothing to worry about. My daughters book advises worried parents to call the child growth foundation. Here is a neat thing to do for working out the childs genetic potential adult height. Take the fathers height (cm) and the mothers height (cm) and add them together. Then divide that number by 2. Then subtract 7 for a girl or add 7 for a boy. This will give you the childs predicted adult height.

  10. that's not strange at all, i'm a 1 year old teacher and i've seen different heights and sizes over the years.

  11. i think its pretty big but my cousin is 3 and he is like 3 feet tall.

  12. From what I have heard when the toddler is 2 years old you can double the height and that is how tall they will be. She just maybe a tall girl.

My neighbor's son is 2 1/2 and he is 39 inches tall

  13. My son will be 2 in a few weeks and he's 34" tall. He's pretty tall for his age and bigger than quite a few kids we know who are older than him.

So yes, 33" is very tall for a 1 year old.

  14. I would say no.

  15. my son is 1 and he is 30 lbs and 32 inches tall and me and his dad are not tall or big people

  16. wow that is pretty tall...my brother is about 5 years old and hes like 3 and a half feet tall. but all children are different so maybe she will stop growing a little when she gets older. if this keeps up u might wanna get a brain scan of her pituitay gland.
