Is 3/4 inch good bar spacing for parrotlet?

  1. No, it is WAY too wide.  Your parrotlet will either escape through the bars or become stuck in the space.  The largest recommended bar spacing for a parrotlet is 1/2 inch, mid-bar to mid-bar.  Even though many parrotlets cannot get their heads stuck in 5/8 inch spacing that is just wide enough that they can't grip the bars tightly.  Since parrotlets tend to be rather athletic, including walking on the ceilings of their cages, a 5/8 inch spacing is just wide enough to cause a lot of falls.  For the safety of your parrotlet, please use a cage with bar spacing no wider than 1/2 inch.

  2. As long as they can not get their head through the bars,if to small they could get their toes or feet stuck and rip them off.
