  1. Well... seeing that we've been paying between $3.15 and $3.30 per gallon for the past few weeks, No, $3.00 isn't expensive.

    (Prices in Southeastern Michigan)

  2. It's not all that expensive, but it's in the high end of its range.  In 1999, it was about the cheapest it's ever been in real money.  Now it's tripled, but it's still not as high as it was in 1982 in real money.  Gas back in 1982 was $1.30 in unadjusted terms.

  3. Yes it is expensive. The price of gasoline is s******g up the United States economy. As the prices rise the public has less money for real goods. When gas hit $3 a gallon before,my business slowed to a crawl. Below $3, I did biz.

  4. NOPE.................

  5. No. It's quite cheap

  6. Its expensive to those of us that can still remember paying 85 cents/gallon (abt 10 yrs ago in Michigan)

  7. That seems pretty normal for gas in California

  8. Its cheaper than bottled water, Starbucks coffee would cost you $ 50 per gallon. Considering its a non renewable resource, most of which has to be transported huge distances from politically volatile countries its virtually free.

  9. Not really. A quart  of oil runs roughly $1-1.25 in auto parts stores, so $3 a gallon seems a decent deal.

  10. Actually Not that expensive. But wait there is more when China gets more and more cars the price will go up as demand over there gets going and China's refinery's get built. So any ambitions of owning a powerful V-10 sports car do it soon!

  11. Cheaper than in Europe where its 6 bucks if you are lucky.  I wonder how low gas prices would be if SUV's did not exist since the demand for oil would drop thus prices dropping
