I'm about 5' 11'' and.. well, I have a STRONG feeling that 30'' Acoustic Guitar is too small. If so, what's an approximate size for someone of my height? Thank You!

  1. I'm assuming you mean length.  Anything between 37" and 42" is fairly standard for an acoustic.  If you are 5'11", any standard size adult guitar should be fine.

Choose guitars by how they feel and how they sound.  Its a very personal thing.  To get an idea of what sizes are out there, you might check Martin's website here: http://www.mguitar.com/guitars/features/...  Martin has a very organized size progression in its product line.

The size of the guitar will have an impact on the sound, and you might find you like a certain size.  For example, I am very tall, but love the sound of OM body guitars (smaller with a pinched waist).  They tend to be more responsive then Dreadnought (big) guitars, which are often louder but can get too muddy or bassy.   If you like smaller guitars, there are some small parlor guitars out there that sound fantastic.  Go to guitar center and mess around!
