I am charging $300/week to babysit 3 children full time during the summer. I will be babysitting from 8am to 5 pm every day, 5 days a week, so that is 45 hours a week. $300 is a little more than $6.50/hour. Do you think that this I am charging too much, too little, or a good amount?

  1. Are you licensed? If so that is a fair amount, it's not as if you had to change diapers

  2. thats way too cheap!! I was getting $10.00 an hour for one child.

Put it up for sure! Thats very long hours to look after 3 children for that amount.

  3. Yes. I only say this because those ages are pretty self sufficient. No bottles, no diapers. No terrible 2s, etc.

  4. yes i think maybe 200 is enough

  5. Those ages are self sufficient, if the mom is willing to pay the amount then it's good. If she complains then you can work with her on the price. Daycare in Tampa for a toddler would cost me $150.00 a week. So I think you are doing a fair rate for the 3 children at those ages!

  6. No it's not too much. If the parents put them in a decent daycare it would be $1,000 per child per month and you are charging $1,200 for all 3.
