I am an 18 year old male, 5'11", 63 kg (139 lbs), and I usually eat around 3000 calories a day (not much junk food), but I am pretty active (about 2 hours each day of walking or riding my bike). I would like to know am I eating too much? And will I begin to put on fat if I do not start to control myself?

  1. I would cut it down to 1500 calories, 3000 is about 500 calories short of a pound. That means you're putting nearly a pound of fat in your body each day.

  2. A normal adult should get 2500 a day, but if you exercise and bike, you can eat more.

1500 a day will have you being hungry constantly, read the nutrition facts on all foods, everything on the panel is based off 2500 calories.

  3. Oh my god yes. That's wayyy to much to be eating. Those aren't eating habbits you want to keep. And yes you will start to get fat if you don't change how you eat. A healthy guy will eat about 2000 a day or less.

It doesn't matter whether you are a guy or a girl, you shouldn't be eating that much food a day. Even if your excercising, still it's too much. The only time you should eat that much is when your a body builder.

  4. no, i don't think so esp if your active
