Is 300K pixel resolution for a webcam good quality?

And I'm getting it for only $10. Also, can you put any webcam on an old fashioned monitor, or it has to be notebook/flat panel?

  1. 300k is less than 1 megapixel. .3 mexapixels  = 1280x1024 = pretty good. 10 dollars, lens is crappy. resolution doesnt matter.


  2. i would have to disagree with Dav.  I have an old 1mega pixel camera and it sux.  You could probably get a 2mega pixel for under $15.  But i have not looked in a while.

  3. 300k pixel is less than the camera phones on most recent cell phones. It's pretty crappy but since it's a webcam it doesn't matter too much.

    EDIT: Yes you can use a webcam on any monitor. If you're asking about attaching it to any monitor that depends on the webcam. Most of them will have a stand so you can sit it on top of CRT monitors.
