  1. Not really. I guess maybe it depends on where you live too. I pay that much for my son's guitar lessons - we live in Texas.

  2. I don't think so, not in my area at least (upstate NY).  I was paying more tahn that for my drum lessons.

  3. is it US dollars? In Australia, 60 is the usual price - for a 1 hour singing lesson, violin lesson, or piano lesson.

  4. yes im doing my guitar lessons fo' free

  5. It all depends on how many hours a month your lessons are and what you're getting out of the lessons. Do you have a good teacher? Do you think that he/she makes playing guitar easier for you? Do you have a good relationship with him/her? Do you feel that you'd be better off playing on your own or looking for another teacher? If the answers to these questions are all positive towards your current teacher, then no, not at all. The money should be well worth the effort.

My lessons are 80 dollars a month for 4 half-hour lessons. That would put my lessons at 40 dollars an hour; however, I think I have a great teacher, so it's all good.
