  2. Most last names that Jews have are not Jewish in origin. So just because someones last name is Goldstein, Horowitz, Fein,ect. It dousnt mean he or she is Jewish or even has Jewish origin. More non Jews have these names than Jews.

    Jews use to have there names something like this "Adam ben Moshe" which means Adam son of Moses. The countries they resided in later required everyone to have a last name, so they normally adopted similar names that non Jews chose or names based on there trade, location or type of landscape they live in.
