  1. to me it is, iv never gotten a B in high school until last semester a got a B+ in honors pre calc, not good! 89.2 teachers dont round! so a B to me is bad especially when u had a 4.8 gpa and then a 4.6, class rank is important to me

If you would graph grades, you would find that it looks like a hill, with "C" being at the top center because thatis where about 65 to 70 percent of the people score.  To the right, on the downhill side is where scores of "B" are located, about 17% of the people scored that high, and all the way down to the right is "A" which perhaps as many as 4% of the people score, so your grade is better than 85 % of the grades earned in the class.  It may be as high as 95%, but that doesn't really mean much.  What counts is if you did your best and earned your grade.  You can be proud of any grade you earn.

  3. NO, it's an entire grade above average, and although it may not be entirely perfect, it's a pretty high grade when you compare it to C's and D's :)

  14. Not really. it actually depends on the person. I'm a straight A student and I take honor classes so when I get a B i feel really disappointed in myslef but then I realize I can always bring my grade up with a quiz or test coming up. My parents don't want me to get B's b/c they know I can do better blah blah blah. My brother who is in college got a B+ in a course he had to retake over the summer b/c he failed it in during the semester and my parents weren't that pleased.  

  15. it is a bad grade for some (those who usually do better), but a good grade for most (those who usually do not do as well).
