  1. Wanting to be the best at something is ambition

  2. Having a Type A personality I think is what you are referring too. I know that I am type A and I always want perfection.

Even in school, an A was not good enough, I would want to make a 100. And if I made a 100 I would want to get extra points.

I am a very normal person and I am not a sore loser like the other person said, its just that I push myself really hard.

But, people like us have to be really careful cause we are more likely to have anxiety disorders, heartattacks etc because the stress we put ourselves under.

Welcome to the Type A personality Club. I think I am the honorary President but you can be President if you want too....ha ha

  3. I don't know, but why not just try your best and be happy with that?  What happens when you fail?

I would call that being "highly competitive" though.

  4. There IS a psychological problem having to do with needing to be the best at everything, but I don't know if you're at that degree yet.  It's called perfectionism. I have a friend who's a perfectionist, she absolutely needs EVERYTHING to be perfect. As in, we're hanging out at my house, and if a painting is tilted or if there's a smudge on my shirt, she can't get comfortable or do anything until it's fixed.

    Hope I helped.

  5. Ummm...a sore loser? lol ....Some people have to be  the best at everything. I dont know if theres a name for it. Its def psychological. You constantly feel the need to prove yourself...
