regarding the loss of government laptops etc by the military etc perhaps loss of position and loss of pension would make them a bit more carefull. My own experience of the attitudes of civil servants is that they feel above the rules and outside of complaint by the public

  1. he he he - no discrimination please, my husband was 17 years in the military when he died, and he never acted like he didn't have to follow any rules...or like he was above everything....

  2. It could be that the 'docs' are being lost on purpose - you know how it is.  You get some wise guy taking over as minister for this or that.  What's he do?  He opens his fat mouth and says things like, "this department, the Home Office, or what ever, ain't fit for purpose".

    What does that do exactly?

It rubs everyone's feathers up the wrong way, that's what it does.

Now you have a minister who no longer has the support and loyalty of his Civil Servants and they are gonna make his/her life a living h**l.

    See if I care. . . .

  3. Yes!Give em the 'boot'!!

  4. totally agree should be sacked

  5. Do we know that these Civil Servants haven't been sacked and lost their pensions? We see so much in the Press about these failings as a failure of the Government and so our attention has been diverted to criticising the Government. If we didn't have such a right-wing Press in this Country, we might get a fairer and more accurate report of the news, instead of mainly criticism of the Labour Government.

  6. Your right fire the arrogant idiots

  7. The real question is when are Civil Servants going to be paid enough to care about security ?

PS the Military you are talking about are not Civil Servants.

    They're soldier, sailors or airmen.
