I have never been to PR and would like to go get dinner or something fun while on my layover. Is that enough time? Are their places nearby the airport?

  1. well if  You catch a Taxi...You can go to old san Juan  and have dinner  and  take a walk trough el Paseo la princesa....

Go to the Tourist taxi stand in the lower lovelof the airport they have a flat rate fare...

check Old San Juan @ www.gotopuertorico.com

  2. It's not really enough time.  There are good restaurants in Isla Verde, which is a 5 minute cab ride from the Airport.

  3. take a taxi, and go to old san juan. You should do that because it will take you (depending on traffic) like 15 min from the airport (if its LMM in san juan) and you can see a lot of it in 2 hours so I will strongly encourage you to go to Old san juan and enjoy... ;)

  4. Yes, that's long enough. I just got back from there two days ago. In Old San Juan there are tons of restaurants. Just be prepared for the language barrier. They don't speak good English. But I would suggest either Old San Juan or Isla Verde.

  5. With those 4.5 hours you need to take the following into consideration:

Will your flight land on time

How long will it take to get off the plane and out of the airport

Have to get through security after your trip outside the airport

The above is going to use up about 60-90 mins of your 4.5 hours (and that is being conservative)

You probably have at the most 3 hours.

Your best bet would be to take a taxi to either one of the bigger hotels in Isla Verde, or to a restaurant in Isla Verde

Trying to get to and from Old San Juan would be tough to do, in that time frame
