  1. nope it its not...ive known people who have done up to 7 pills a day for years....trust me ur friend doesnt want to get addicted, its one of the hardest medications to get out of your system.

tell him to seek help cause he'll be in serious **** if he becomes super addicted and cant get those meds

  2. It's not a dying amount if that's what your asking.

Tell him that xanax is no fun and is pretty much a sleeping pill, with very fast tolerance.

All the people I know who abused xanax got bored with it and quit on there own but some still, mess with vicodin etc.

  3. Xanax and other benzodiazepines are used to treat anxiety.  When used for prolonged periods in some patients there is a slight tolerance effect which leads to higher doses being required for similar effect.  Generally, long-term use should be avoided unless directed by a doctor who is skilled in their use.

A person who does not use these medications regularly should not be taking 4 mg in a single dose as this may cause excessive sedation.  It likely will not stop the person from breathing as higher doses can, but may make them sedate to the point that they are a danger to themselves and others, especially when driving or taking other substances (like alcohol or narcotic pain medicines).  Any vomiting in this condition can be deadly as the person may not have the capability of protecting their own airway.

If you would like to tell your friend to stop abusing medications that are not prescribed to him, do just that.  It is illegal and dangerous and there are better ways for grownups to have a good time.
