  1. 4 miles instn long. i can walk that. If ur out of shape then it still isnt that much depending on how fast u ride. but it should be ok for u to handle

  2. Are, you fat-out of shape, or have you just not moved around all that much? 4 miles isn't that hard. It should take you about 45 min. if your out of shape at a liesurly pace and 20min. top speed. It's not that far

  3. I did a fun ride for charity yesterday that was over 12 miles.  I'm a frequent rider, but there were tons of people in the ride that hadn't been on a bike in years, and lots of little kids too.  Even in 97 degree heat and very high humidity, most people took no more than an hour and 15 minutes to finish.  Even if you are outta shape, four miles is not far at all.  Figure 20 maybe 25 minutes for four miles at first, and 15 once you get in better shape.  Good luck!

  4. Just at a leisurely pace, it should take you no more than 30 minutes. Hopefully it isn't all uphill with crosswalks every other block.

  5. Shouldn't be that hard even for people out of shape.  I think the average beginner pace is 10-15 mph.  I think that even if you went really slow it wouldn't take over 30 min.

The only exception would be if it was 4 miles uphill..... then all bets are off.

    Good luck! Have fun!

  6. 4 miles is not a lot if u are out of shape it would take about 42 minutes im in great shape and it takes me 24 minutes to run 5 miles and 24 minutes to ride my bike 10 miles so riding a bike would be a great way for u to get into shape you will lose weight in no time at all

  7. Four miles is a good distance to start with, but it's not long. Depending on how out of shape you really are, it could take anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes. Start at 4 miles and gradually build up to 6, 8, and 10 miles over the course of several weeks. As you get more saddle time, it'll get easier and you'll be able to  ride farther.

  8. 4 miles is not far at all.  Even if you only go 10 mhp it would take 24 minutes.

  9. no way, just take your time and remember to bring along some water or gatorade, and you'll be fine ...if you get tired ,just stop and rest for a while ...good luck and have fun..
