Ok so I like a 16 year old, and I'm 4 years younger, I like him 2, but IDK, its like if he's 18 and I'm 14, would you let your daughter date a 18year-old? Would you let your 22 year old daughter marry a 26 year old man?? It's the same thing!

  1. It's absolutely not the same thing.  There is a huge difference in maturity levels between a 16 and 12 year old or an 18 and 14 year old, as opposed to a 26 and 22 year old.  when people are older, when there are age differences it doesn't matter as much because they are both old enough to realize when they are being taken advantage of and to make adult decisions. 12-16 year old girls are not mature enough to tell the difference between love and when they are being used for their bodies.  18 and 16 year old boys are mature enough to understand that they can take advantage of 12-16 year old girls because they are naive.  You just havn't had enough life experience yet to be able to tell the difference.  So no it is absolutely not the same thing and the fact that you think it is anywhere near the same things shows that you are not mature enough to be dating a person 4 years older than you.

  2. You're only 12 maybe you should find a boy around 13 or 14.

  3. Tell him to go and pick on someone his own age. I would be very suspicious of a 16-year-old boy who liked 12-year-old girls.

Of course, the importance of this age gap decreases as you get older, but so what?  You have to deal with here and now.

  4. 4 years gap difference, it's nothing.

Now a days, girls are marrying someone as old almost like their grandad. lol  Rediculous really because sooner or later this kind of relationship will never ever work.

So 4 years is nothing. The only problem I can see is that, you are both young. Young people should be thinking of their studies.

Friend, good friend, good company sound better.
