  1. Four years of Obama will be worse than four years of Carter. I think our country may never recover after 4 years of Obama. Obama will do things to this country that will be hard to reverse such as turning us into a socialist country.

  2. lol at railroad dave...carter helped worsen the situation by adopting protectionist energy policies including price controls that only worsened the crisis. Now libs today want to enact the same price ceilings that will help create perceived, artificial shortages.

  3. Hmmm...

Carter inherited a failed economic policy from the Nixon/Ford era

Obama is going to inherit a failed economic policy from Dumbya

Sort of similar, except for one thing...Carter did not have a majority in the Senate, so his vetos were overridden, Obama has a majority in both houses....

We can finally get what we deserve, a unified leadership to bring prosperity to all Americans

  4. In some ways, I suspect yes, in other ways, no.  Carter was elected after the Republicans had the Watergate scandal, the Nixon resignation, the Ford presidency, (which disgusted the public even more as he filled the presidency without running for election, (if I recall, he was placed in there after Spiro Agnew resigned) and Carter did not run a very strong platform other than the fact that he grew peanuts and his brother was a drunk (Billy, who had a beer named after him).  The country had a low political morale, inflation was starting to come down (that was a credit to Nixon- sort of) and people just did not want anything to do with Republicans.  But in four years, our economy really sucked, and we had the embarrassment of the Iranian Hostage Crisis and the USA appeared helpless.  Reagon won on the platform four years later of rebuilding our military (which was the largest factor to ending that era's cold war with nukes and tearing down the Iron Curtain) and with the simple phrase at the now infamous debate in which he asked at the end "Are you better off now then you were four years ago?  If you are, then vote for my opponent- if not, vote for me."  Reagon won by one of the largest landslides ever. As for Obama, from what I have read of his quotes,  I believe he will put us backwards in the Middle East-  say what you want about that mess; we need to finish the job or be a hostage to future terrorism when it rebuilds.  As for energy, green is good, but the other energy sources including oil and nuclear should be considered with safety and enviromental safeguards intact to help us be free from this energy terrorism of the Middle East.  If we do not drill here, then who in the world will assure us that we can do so safely and cleanly?  Do you think the Middle East is careful of the environment when they drill for our energy.  Let us supply our own needs while assuring the future of our planet.

  5. Funny how nothing is ever a lib's fault.  The guy above me ignored the fact that Nixon was probably (aside from the scandal) the best President of the 20th century.  He deserved a Nobel Prize, IMO.  But to answer the question, we will be longing for the days of Jimmy Carter if that Obamoron gets elected.

  6. no , the dems have become just as greedy and corrupt as the republicans .its time to pick from one of the many other parties that the corporate media totally ignores , yet would be in our better interest to vote for . jimmy was right  on our energy policies .he had solar panels installed on the white house . the first thing reagan did was to have them removed .how telling .
