40 million Americans who got a horrible US public education and couldn't get a job that provided health care?

And who's fault is that? The liberal teachers, the school administrations, the State or Fed Govts. or a lot of really lazy & stupid students?

  1. schools are horrible and that leads to bad jobs but some bad jobs do have insurance. i wouldn't want national healthcare. many people have healthcare and are forced to keep it because of policies and they pay and pay and never use it. they could put that money to better use say private schools for their kids to get better educations and better jobs

  2. It is all of the above but be aware, our health care system is horribly ****** up.  I'm not for a national system but something has to change.

    fs

  3. The electorate.  The government are there to reflect the views of the people.  If the people do not want universal healthcare, they should not have it.

But in the USA, in the system that the US has, the fault of those without healthcare is that of employers in somecases, and those without healthcare in others.  http://www.necn.com/Boston/Nation/Mickey...

But look at kids.  They have no say into which family they are born in.  And American kids under five have one of the highest death rates in the industrialised world, despite the USA spending more on healthcare PER PERSON than any other nation on the planet.

  4. you're leaving out little groups like people who worked 30 to 40 years at the same job and instead of retiring comfortably , they have to work for insurance because the companies they worked for screwed them ... for more profit ...

The government and businesses have let the insurance companies run roughshod over those who aren't rich enough to fight back .

  5. You really have no idea how the healthcare and insurance system work do you...

Another one of you ignorant posts about this already? Look a little deeper and quit listening to only the one side that your daddy tells you to believe.

  6. the government has screwed up everything it ever touched including medicare!

  7. Oh please. The health care insurance industry is greedy and is driving costs up into the stratosphere. That's why so many Americans don't have health insurance.

Walmart is the richest corporation on the planet, yet most of their employees do not have health insurance.

  8. so, the ones that build the schools and the hospitals, and fight the wars, and build the roads and bridges so all you Scholarly Elitist can move up the ladder of life, don't deserve a living wage or a health care plan~?

oh that is right the Illegal Immigrant workers will bebe doing that for low wages and no benefits~!

or if they get sick just throw em out and the next one in line gets the job~!

we are gonna have ourselves a civil war aren't we~?!

  9. It is very hard to fault the school the state or federal government unless the person just can't believe THEY might be to blame. Look at all the Vietnamese people who came here on a little boat and made it big and taught their children to respect the schools and learn as much as they can.  If you look at them with nothing and no language skills and then look at the other people who come here lazy as h^ll wanting a free ride and wanting us to change EVERYTHING for THEM something is wrong.  People are so used to cheating, lying and stealing and not wanting to be responsible for their actions I guess they can sit on their lazy a$$es and let Mother government soothe them with national health care, social security benefits and food stamps.  Heck I don't know.

  10. the simple fact that YOU HAVE TO HAVE INSURANCE... is a sad state...

insurance is the new overlord in America...

think about how much you paid for insurance 20 years ago, all insurance (car, health, home)... and now look at how much you pay...

even factor in how much these things have gained in value (like a home)... does it even still compare?

I know people that throw hundred of dollars away every month for the best insurance they can get... 20 years down the road I would like to see that pile of money...

AND of course, many of those people that don't have insurance have jobs...

why are there "jobs that don't provide health care" anyway? that's another question, but answers your question to a degree...

  11. I think the problem is the skyrocketing cost of health care.  My evidence is the influx of companies that are dropping or limiting health care from their benefits packages.

  12. there's a lot of little reasons not everyone can being upper management ., lot of people can work with their hands and can be very smart .and big companies don't want a paying health care it would cut into their profits bonuses and stock profits .not everyone is meant to being management level .and education is always cut and state levels when you're short on money ,and the general public with a lot of pressure on the education system .as it's easier point a finger at the teachers ,parents will never say there are at fault .
