Is $40 too much for a 14 year pay each month?

Is it too much as a cell phone bill each month for a 14 year old girl?

I would say no. I'm also 14 but i think it depends on the plan you have and which company you have. Like I have Sprint and the $99 for unlimited texting etc...

I don't think it's too much. I'm 17 and I pay $35.

Depends.  Does she need to be on the phone much?  Is it a base charge, or a charge from calls/texting/etc?

A plan really does not get much cheaper than that.
