  1. no, 44 is a good time! Keep working on your stroke and endurance and you'll be into the 30s in no time. You could try a track start, one foot forward, and one foot back. Make sure when you dive to push up and out away from the block. Keep your head down when you enter the water. Always have a good pull out, especially if you're swimming long course, since it's your only one on each length! hope this helps keep up the good work!

  2. fuc.k no

man i am 15 and can only do it in a 53

my mate is the fastest breaststoker in the club...

    she is 14 and does a 47....

focus on pushing off hard from the blocks and work on your streamline lots...

  3. well it should be in the 30s somewhere so yeah.

  4. If you are swimming 44secs for 50 metres you are going more than 1m per second, so you beat me and i am 16.

If you are looking to get a better start well then http://swimming.about.com/od/startandtur... talks all about increasing your reaction time and the best position to be in to rocket off the blocks.
