Is 45 days in advance too late?

My aunt is part of this time share called Blue green and she got some extra weeks of vacation, so she is giving two of those weeks to me. I have to pay $350 for each week to stay at the resorts. Now I actually have 2 questions. Am I paying her the 350 or blue green? She also told me that we have to reserve our room at the resort 45 days in advance. I feel like this is too late am I right? One resort is in Corpus Christi,Tx and the other is in Mexico.

Oh, you better try and inquire from the hotels there so that you can still have time to look for other alternatives.  Hope you have a nice trip!!!!!
