  1. way to much go to an auto salvage junk yard you could get one for $80 I got one for a nissan sentra for that!

  2. For parts and labor, that seems just a tad outrageous.  Buy a re manufactured one from PartsAmerica.com and install it yourself.  You'll be much better off.

  3. Check with an Isuzu dealer if you can find one.  their prices are half of what Honda dealers charge for the same starter.   The Passport was made for Honda by Isuzu.

you can also check for remanufactured starters from a parts store that are usually less expensive

if the vehicle is a 4WD and the labor is included in the price its a good deal; its a pain in the neck to replace the starter on that model

    hope that helps

  4. Depending where you go 300.00-500.00/parts and labor...

if you can do your own work.. a used/rebuilt starter would be 100.00-200.00

  5. No. That is all people are probably willing to pay for an old honda which aren't always the most reliable old things. Depening on the condition of the honda, I would say accept an offer if it is over $400.  Hope this helped.
