  1. percocets are considered stronger than vicodins to begin with... you wouldn't necessarily need to take 5-325 mg percocets to get the same affect as taking one 500 mg vicodin.

  2. pain is relative -we all feel it differently.  narcs just cover the sense of pain.  some of don't need anything that strong.  thank chemists for creating these meds to offer you variety.

  3. you mean 5mg of Vicodin. The 500 is just the acetaminophen content. To answer the question the percocet would be stronger.

  4. Vicodin is a class 3 narcotic, with hydrocodone. Percocet is a class 2 narcotic with oxycodone, which is a much stronger narcotic derivative.  A normal adult dosage of Percocet is 1 of the 5mg/325mg or one 5mg/500mg Vicodin.  The percocet in this case has 325mg of (tylenol), and the Vicodin has twice as much.

  5. Vicodin is hydrocodone and acetaminophen. Percocet is oxycodone and acetaminophen. The pills you're comparing contain 325 and 500 mg of acetaminophen, respectively. The Percocet contains 5 mg of oxycodone, and the amount of hydrocodone you didn't list, but if it's 5 mg, then the Percocet will be stronger, oxycodone being somewhat more potent than hydrocodone. 5, 7.5, and 10 mg strengths of hydrocodone are all available in Vicodin.
