Is 5'5 height too short for Army??

ok iv always been passionate about the Army and i want to join it but i am concerned about me height so is 5'5 acceptable or will i be rejected?

    The Air Force has strict height requirements, but the army isnt like that. And 5'5" is above average for women anyway. There is a female in my squad right now that is 5'2".

    See the lowest height in inches = 58 inches ~ which is around 5Ft

  11. No my sister was 5'3 and she got in just fine. The only way they would reject is if you are overweight and in that case you would just have to lose a few pounds before they would let you in. GO FOR IT and GOOD LUCK! i have alot of family members in the army.

  12. it doesn't matter about height it matters about if your going to take the elements that are thrown at you in combat.

  14. I don't think that is true, I work for the military and I've seen plenty of military members of all branches and ranks shorter than 5 feet, men and women alike. It will take more than your height to be rejected. Good Luck.
