dude, this is not basketball where you have to be a certaim height in order to participate. i think it is a goo-enough height !

I'm 5'6 and run a time of 11.5, so 5'8 is certainly not to short.

No It can actually be an advantage especially for acceleration.

You're not too short.. Most elite sprinters are in the 5'9" to 6'0" range. Tyson g*y & Walter Dix are both only 5'9" and they finished 1st & 2nd at the Olympic trials in the 100M.

Trindon Holliday (LSU) has run 10.05 in the 100M this year and he's only 5'5".
