Is 5 cats alright in a small bedsit?

They all well cared for and are all neutered. they go outside to go to the toilet. they all have their injections are are pretty healthy

Not that long ago there was a video of a woman in Russia who had 150 cats in her apartment, and they looked all well fed.  She devoted most of her income for her cats.

You have given them food, vet care, and love, so I don't see any issues.  I can imagine it can get a bit crazy, but that is your choice.

Would take a lot of care as I have a cat in a flat and I'm always cleaning up paw prints and hair.

No matter how small the place is, cats will find a way to share it. Granted you will probably have to endure fights and things like that because between them they need to establish who is dominant over who.

One important thing is to be sure they get sufficent exercise. So if they go outside or you play with them a lot, they will be OK.

One important point though. Try to provide them with a lot level in height to rest. Cat uses 3 dimensional space, height being the one who, normally, determine the heirachy between the cat. So the more levels in height you have, the more chance they will establish their own corner and you'll end up with less fight. Try to have as many +1 level in height than you have cats. So in your case, 6 differents level (have a difference of more than 5 inchs between each levels) and it should be ok. Tablets fixed on the wall, chair, boxes...it's all good. Cat tree is the best but you might not have enough space

ive got 4 cats but i live in a 3 bedroom house with a big garden i think even thats crazy but to be honest my mum loves them and if you show them love then thats alright but dont get anymore because that int fair on them coz u might come to find that its toooo much work !!!      think about it xx

as there are sometimes laws (some cities only allow one or 2 pets

I don't know what a bedsit is, but I have 5 cats.  You're not a crazy cat lady as long as you can count them all on one hand.
