Is 50kbs normal download speed for a 512kbps dsl connection

all of the other people say that they get about 120 - 160kbs on their 256kbps connection

normally while downloading via DAP, i get max 60 kbs,

The server on the other end, your, computer, what virus protection software you are running, and if using utorrent, the number of seeds and their speeds as well as factors mentioned above all affect your transfer rate

Yes.It is 50KBps not 50 kbps. 50KBps is 50*8=400 kbps. I think its normal. But if you are getting 50kbps its pathetic and you should contact customer support for that.
