I've read some of the answers and questions on this site already but I really want to make sure if a wireless router with 54Mps slow.

I have a Comcast (its cable for all you that don't know)

And I have 1 desktop, 1 laptop, and a Ps3 thats gonna be connected to this router.

Is it going to have any problems or no?

  1. No, 54Mbps is standard, and is going to be massively faster then the Internet connection anyway (so it is only relevant for communications between local machines on the network). Faster speeds are still in the experimental stage.

  2. No like previous posts not even top end broadband will reach the max speed of that router i use 54mbps wifi and is exactly same speed im getting from cabled so zero difference should be found from your router to cabled internet.

  3. 54Mbps is what it is capable of delivering, you probably won't be getting anything faster than 10Mbps from your ISP (Comcast) so yes 54Mbps is plenty fast, and as far as I know, that's the fastest home consumer modem you can purchase.

  4. thats fine most of the routers out there are prob 54mbs it plenty for what you need
