Is 55 push ups enough ?

Hi I'm 13 years old and i want to be a boxer. So everyday except for sunday and Saturday. I do 55 push ups and i just want to is that enough for now and i all ways add more push ups like now i do 55 push ups but when i gain stamina i all ways add five more push ups but is 55 push ups enough for now.

  1. Just keep on increasing each passing day.. Don't overstrain yourself.. it might not do you any good.  and improve the total package, streght, stamin and endurance.. push ups will not do it all


  2. 100 push ups in two minutes is good enough..but make them real push ups...all the way down and all the way up. Is important to change hand position as you perform the push up. Also 100 sit ups in 2 minutes. to strenghen the abdominal muscles.

    Keep training hard don't slack..and you will see the difference in a few months.

  3. i do pushups with dumbells,do 20 pushups while holding the dumbells & than quickly turn & lay on your back & do presses with the dumbells..i do about 4 or 5 reps of this and you will notice results in chest within 3 weeks..
