Hi:

I am planning to buy a 5KW inverter.

I can easily supply continues 24V as input to inverter.

Average consumption of electricity of my house is 3000W at any time.

There is no other source of electricity in my area.

Is 5KW inverter enough to provide continues electricity up to 1 Year?

Is there any need to off inverter for rest?

Is there any need of cooling system to avoid inverter from Heating up?

  1. 5kW inverter for 3000W, enough.

    Continuous electricity, yes.

Turn off inverter, not needed. Have good ventilation is better.

Cooling system? use fresh air - don't use water.

3000W consumption is big, your batteries will drain quite fast - and you will have to go to nearby town to recharge those batteries often.

  2. It's not the average consumption you need to worry about so much (although that does look very high, are you sure that's right?), it's the peak draw.

An electric shower for example will most likely draw more power than that all by itself. Also, if you have a hot water tank with immersion heater, that could very well draw more than that. A kettle also takes a lot of power.

Heaven forbid if you're taking a shower while someone is making a cup of tea and your immersion heater is on.

  3. 5kw may be enough, if your power remains below that level with all appliances turned on. Check this carefully!  It may be best to get a 10 kw unit to allow for the peaks in demand.

    no rest needed

no cooling should be needed, just be sure it is open so air can get to it.

But, at that level, a large lead acid battery (100 amp-hr) will last only 20 minutes at a 3kw drain.
