Is 600 Mhz sufficient for Internet use? By internet use I ,mean able to watch youtube videos, acces email,?

surf the web, etc. I am planning on buying a laptop soon and have been considering buying a used due to the high cost of a new one. I don't care about whether or not games will work on it, but I want to know if I will be able to use the internet and basic work-related programs like office. This would be for a mac.

For internet, mostly it will depend on your internet speed which is from your internet service provider. For any current Vista laptop, it should be able to run basic applications

yeah. make sure it has plenty of ram though.
