Is 666 a bad number to have ?

Hi,

I have just been charged £6,66 for some stuff at the local supermarket.

My credit card has the last digits as 666, my six digit landline no.ends in 666, I was born on 6/6th

Oh dear, the emergency number upside down is also 666

Am I doomed ?

It is supposed to repesent some sort of "Anti-Christ", or the devil

Any notions ?

sometimes people say they notice a pattern that when something relates w/ 666 that something bad will happen... which they may be right, bad thinghs might actually happen but not because of the number.  i honestly think that bad things happen because people think that they KNOW something bad will happen. so it does. law of attraction.

I would agree to a point with StingRay... The number of the Beast might well actually be 616 and not 666 as is so commonly told. The earliest known copy of revelation reads as 616 and may have been mis-translated through hsitory.

"The number of a man" is commnly thought to refer to Nero and refer to him as a "beast" rather than meaning "the beast" or the "anti-christ".

Actually, the translation from Arabic is mistaken and the number of "The Beast" is 616. It refers to a code that was used in the bible because of certain rulers and the necessity to be discreet.
