Is 772 an okay credit score?

I did a credit check yesterday, but have no idea whether this is good or terrible!

Well if you went on Trans Union's web site they use a different scale thank most banks. As long as you didn't see any negative occurances on you actual report you are fine.

722 is a good score.  I work for an FI and 722 falls into the second tier, which is the second best bracket.  My score falls in the same tier and I'm proud of it.

The FICO credit score scale range from about 300-850.  The average credit score in the United States is 723, so you're right around there.  Just think it's not bad at all.  Anything in the 500's or lower usually needs improvement.

This is ranked "Excellent" -- an exceptionally high score.  Anything over 700 is a very good score and enables you to get better interest rates and other terms as long as you have sufficient income to support that level of debt.

But the only way to turn that high score into wealth is to not use it to borrow money.
