I am a Military veteran and am wanting to start my college education. I heard about Axia College of University of Phoenix. I am going for my Associate of Arts Degree In Criminal Justice, and then eventually my Bachelor's and the Master's. The Finance Counselor just went over the cost with me and it sounds a little pricey. My G.I Bill only covers $36,000. The Associate's Degree is 60 total credits, and they are charging me $8,320 for the first year that covers 24 semester hours. The counselor tells me that it will be Roughly $20,000 to complete my Associate of Art's Degree, but remember the entire thing is ONLINE. The say that they are a Nationally Accredited Institution and that the Credits are transferrable to any state College. Is this 2 much to pay??

  1. I don't think it is too much to pay, but I question whether "the Credits are transferrable to any state College."

I suggest you get a list of the courses they want you to take, and then contact the four year school you think you might go to next and ask them if the credits are transferable.  If they are not transferable, then you really would have paid too much.

  2. I wouldnt pay that much-just go to a college in your state-I also went there and didnt like it and had to pay $700 just to cancel it plus tuition
