Is 8 advil to much? ?

ive tooken 8 or up to 10 pills of advil a few times and it gives me no overdose or any effect...why?

You may not think that it did not effect you in any way but you are ruining your liver. Why would you take that many advil. If you are hurting that bad you need to see a doctor. Once you do enough liver damage it won't matter how many you take anymore, the question is how much time will it be before you die from liver disease or better yet kidney failure.

Because you are taking the over-the-counter version of 200mg per tablet.  The prescription version is 400, 600, and 800 mg tablets.  The max amount of milligrams allowed a day is 1200 without medical supervision and up to 3200 mg under the directions of a doctor.  Taking 10 of the 200mg tablets is only 2000 mg.  An awful lot, but not lethal in any way.

once you get to 1000-1200mg there is no more effect...there is a ceiling to advil..once you get at much in you it doesnt work..you are better off just taking 4

Your body is used to the drug now...in other words its got immune to it
