I used to do 3 miles a day but I'm still fat (180)

I bumped up my routine to 5 miles (1hr 15 mins) in the morning and 3 miles after class/work (50 mins)

IS THAT ENOUGH? HOW MUCH WEIGHT WILL I LOSE?

  1. I'm sure you'll burn some calories going 5 miles a day. Anything over 20-30 minutes of cardio is garenteed to help you drop some weight. How much? I don't know, but, I've gotta say, good for you. I weigh about 130 pounds, and I don't think I could walk a mile. You already sound like your in better shape then me.

  2. I don't know if you're willing to do this or not (sense it is VERY unhealthy) but if you want to lose 60 pounds or more weight fast in like 2 months you can do this.

walk around your neighborhood or on a treadmil for 1-2 hours EVERYDAY (even 3 hours would be great) but you don't have to do this all at once.

work-out to exercise videos (I recommend Jilian Michael's exercise dvds because she will make you burn alot of calories)

eat 300 calories to 400 calories twice a week (no more than that. Yes, I know you are kind of starving yourself but trust you'll get used to it. By the way stick to lean cuisine dinners because they're low in fat, calories, and carbohydrates.

drink laxative tea and take laxatives.

Trust me all of this helped me go from 220 pounds to 157 in 2 months (seriously). I'm still not down to the weight that I want to be (which is 117) but I'll be there by halloween. Halloween is a BIG day for me because I'm going to dress up in this costume that was clearly not made for a big girl but anyways like I said this is unhealthy but if you have alot of weight to lose in a short amount of time then this would be really good to do. Oh yeah and always make sure that you never get dehydrated and to help you not eat alot.....stay out of the house as much as possible and keep little money on you (just in case you're tempted to buy food) but if you have to stay at home take some sleeping pills because they'll make you sleep so you won't have time to think about food.

  3. It's all about calories in and calories out. Your body probably got used to the 3 miles a day, so bumping it up even a little bit will surely help.

Just be sure you're getting an adequate amount of calories. If you don't eat enough, or eat too much your efforts will be wasted.

One lb is 3500 cal. So do the math on what you normally burn in a day and how much you normally eat, and you will be able to figure out how much you will lose in how long based on your daily calorie deficit.

  4. depends what ur eating and how much ur eating

portion control+ eating the right foods + exercise (which u have covered)= weight loss

it should be enough to help u lose weight provided u are eating healthy and not eating huge portions. ex. a grilled chicken breast is healthy..eating 3 of them isnt
