  1. Well, I think it is, we tend to keep the house at about 78 during the day and then turn it down to 75 when we get home [at around 3pm]...but it also depends on where you live, our home is in South Carolina, so it's going to be a lot warmer during the day than if you live in Maine...just set the thermostat to whatever makes you comfortable, and if you start to feel hot, just lower the temp a few degrees.

  2. I have no AC.  That's cool for me!   Right now, it's 84.

  3. ya the averge room temperature in the summer should be aroud 65-70 depending on the outside temperature

  4. It sure would be in Florida with the high humidity. I keep mine on 78 and feel like I am being frugal by doing that as I would prefer it to be about 72.

  5. My husband thinks so. If we are cooking or have guest, I turn it to 78. If I am home alone I turn it to about 84 but when dh gets home from work, I turn it down to 80. If he isn't working hard, that is fine.

  6. It is definitely too warm 70 to 75 is tolerable especially if your sharing your house.  Heat makes people irritable.  You can always put something warmer on but to get cooler is different as there are only so many pieces of clothing you can wear.  Happy house happy life.

  7. it is pretty warm but if your using celing fans that can help. i usually keep mine on 76

  8. Both c**p.  It should be like 74-75  that i tink is norm for people but i guess it all depends where you are.

  9. It depends in what part of the United States you live.   In the south west zone, to me me this would be cool with out side temperatures at 90 to 110.    In the Washington DC metro area, Pepco (the electrical utility) suggests 78 degrees for inside settings during the summer months.

  10. I think so. I prefer minimum of 70
