Is 8700 too much money for c1500 silverado 2000

Question

it has chrome rims but 187000 miles!!!!!! i took back my monte carlo which no mechanic found what was wrong with it and i had payed 7900 for that but they took it back and want to change it for the silverdo i guess i atleast am get a car that works the truck had a new motor put in it i really dont know about cars i got it checked and was told it was good but i feel like too many miles i got the carfax on it. carfax said it had 1 owner

A 2000 silverado with 187000 miles is worth 3500.00 or less....

i would say thats way to much.  even with a new engine recently....that could lead to problems and if the engine already had to be replaced than thats not good either.  so i would say yes its to much.  but i do agree if you want to find the real value go to www.kbb.com or nada or edmunds.com.

Yes wwwwaaaayyy too much. At my lot we would only sell that for $6K. That is way above retail.
